I documenti dell’abbazia di S. Maria della Grotta di Vitulano (BN). 1200-1250

A scholarly digital edition

l'abbazia di S. Maria della Grotta

Making of: The edition in a nutshell

In a period of transition from analogue to digital our collaborative critical edition of 109 of the documents of S. Maria della Grotta originated as an experimentation of the editorial tool of the platform Monasterium.Net and is therefore a born-digital edition.

It has different manifestations:

– the native digital edition in Monasterium.Net, available as a user-friendly visualization and also as download in XML

– a pdf solely of the texts, generated with a dedicated Transformation of the editions in Monasterium.Net (XSLT, XSL-FO and a FO-processor)

– a print edition (2018) which contains the text and additional materials. This edition is now available also as a pdf.
